NWS Issues Hazardous Weather Outlook For Tonight
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for portions of northern Indiana.
Lake effect snow is expected later tonight. Heaviest accumulations are expected in St. Joseph and La Porte Counties, but Kosciusko, Elkhart, Marshall and Fulton Counties will also be affected by these weather patterns. There is a possibility of blowing snow due to brisk winds.
NWS is also projecting another round of lake effect snow over the weekend, primarily on Friday and Saturday nights. Bitter cold temperatures are expected. With wind chill, lows between negative 15 and 25 degrees are expected on Sunday morning.
No less than a 20 percent chance of snow is in the forecast for the Warsaw area throughout the rest of the week. High temperatures in the teens and low 20s are expected, with lows around zero degrees, through the end of the week.
Heavy precipitation and low temperatures could make for hazardous driving conditions. Should the predicted weather hit, exercise caution when operating a vehicle.
