KC Recycling Offering Fun New Workshops

Green Cleaning: Thursday, Feb. 26
Whether you are looking to reduce the chemicals used in your household cleaning and laundry or save some money on store bought products, this workshop is for you. Staff will share some of their best green cleaning tips and tricks and guide you through mixing up two of their favorite cleaning products to take home to get you started.
Composting With Worms: Thursday, March 26
Compost pile taking too long to turn? Try adding worms. Vericomposting is the way to get great compost quick. Come and learn about our squirmy friends and how to recycle your food scraps into a rich compost. Each family will go home with their own mini worm bin and started guide. With a little care, you will have vermicompost for your garden this summer.
Build a Terrarium: Thursday, April 23
Houseplants are a great way to clean the air in your home and they are interesting to look at. Join us as we discover some fun varieties of houseplants that grow well in terrariums. They we’ll get our hands dirty and put together some creative plantscapes to take home. Bring your gloves and we’ll have some fun.
