Gallup Poll: Indiana One Of The Most Unhappy States
A recent Gallup poll has ranked Indiana as one of the country’s most miserable states, according to the people that live here.
The seventh annual Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index rankings are based on more than 176,000 phone interviews with people living in all 50 states regarding how they feel about their daily lives and overall health. It uses a holistic definition of well-being to create a unique view of the elements that matter most to personal happiness: purpose, social, financial, community and physical.
Indiana came in 48th in terms of the happiest states. Only Kentucky and West Virginia ranked lower. People in Alaska were the happiest, with Hawaii, South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana finishing out the top five.
