Mentone Elementary School

Mentone Elementary will host it’s kindergarten round up at 6 p.m. Monday, March 23. Families will start the evening in the large group instruction room with a short information meeting where they will learn what to expect in kindergarten. Kindergarten teachers will also share about kindergarten readiness and the requirements for children attending kindergarten during the 2015-2016 school year.

The school nurse will share about medical information that needs to be completed before the student starts school. A pizza dinner will be served following the informational meeting. Office staff will also be assisting parents with online registration in the computer lab. Children that are five years old on or before Aug. 1, 2015, are eligible to attend kindergarten. This early registration is critical in planning for next year’s kindergarten program.

Childcare will be provided at this meeting. If you cannot attend contact Mentone Elementary School at (574) 353-7465 prior to registration in August. If you are unable to attend, parents may still come in during the day starting Tuesday, March 24 through Friday, March 27 and sign up their child.

Office hours to sign up for kindergarten are 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. If you know a parent that will have a new kindergartner at Mentone Elementary next year, please pass this information along to them.
