Robert J. “Bob” Cowger, 70, of LaFontaine, died at 3:56 pm, Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 at Rolling Meadows Healthcare Center in LaFontaine. He was born Aug. 25, 1944 in Monticello to Joseph and Josephine (Brown) Cowger.

Bob served in the Indiana National Guard. He married Edith R. (Middleton) Ray in Mobile, Ala. on Nov. 24, 1998. He worked at Indiana Chair in Elkhart. He enjoyed watching television and spending time with his family. He lived in Monticello until 2000 when he moved to Wabash County.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Cowger of LaFontaine, four children and three step-children; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, William (Lana) Cowger, and two sisters, Jane (David) Puluskniak, and Judy (Bill) Luse, all of Monticello. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one brother.

Memorial service will be at a later date at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash. Inurnment will be in the Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
