Edgewood Middle School National History Day Contest Winners

The Edgewood Middle School National History Day teams defended their Northern Region victory on Saturday, Feb. 28. The team of Miriam Hagg, Megan Dawson and Kimmi Owens took first place with their project on women’s rights and the Seneca Falls Convention.
Edgewood also had a three way tie for third place with the following teams: Jarrett Orr, Reuben Williams, Keegan Rice, Alex Dials and Tyler Mackenzie; Eric Hartman, Jaxon Wagoner, Chase Byron and Trevor Rumple; and Dayle Harvey, Kristen Coates, Lachlan Lennox, Maddi Ryman and Addie Dickerhoff. Their topics included Andrew Carnegie, Ulysses S. Grant at the Battle of Shiloh and Gettysburg: Seven Score and Twelve Years Ago.
All four teams will compete in the National History Day in Indiana State Contest at Marian University in Indianapolis on Saturday, April 25.
