It seems the annual Pierceton Days Festival is beginning to come together for the 2015 installment of the event.

At the Pierceton Town Council meeting, held March 9, Kim Rose came before the council to request dates and a few other items for the festival.

The dates requested were July 31 through Aug. 1. Rose stated the theme this year would be “Family Game Night,” and the parade marshals would be Greg and Kathy Chism.

Rose requested that the car show be allowed to move back to its original location on SR 13. Town Marshal Tim Sammons said he would check with the state police regarding permits for road closure.

The council advised they would review the dates and report back.

Additionally, Sammons reported that one of the Pierceton Police Department’s reserve officers has resigned. He stated there was one reserve officer applicant, and Sammons and the other officers would review the application.

The next meeting of the Pierceton Town Council will beat 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 13.
