Bubble Soccer Arrives At NWCC
NORTH WEBSTER – Bubble soccer has arrived at North Webster Community Center. What is bubble soccer? Bubble soccer is the newest craze sweeping the nation and quite possibly the most exciting sport that you will ever play. Some of you may have even seen it on TV being played on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
It is like soccer but with a giant inflated bubble protecting your body from about a foot above your head down until about mid-thigh, leaving only your legs exposed in order to run around. This allows you to run around and safely bounce off other players causing you to fall harmlessly to the ground and even roll over doing flips. This allows the viewers to have almost as much fun and entertainment as the people playing.
Recently, during and Upward basketball game versus the WRSW Hoopster fundraiser game, volunteers played a quick half-time game as a introduction of the sport to the community. It was met with a lot of laughter and excitement.
We do not recommend playing with any existing injuries, pregnant or heart related conditions. Playing bubble soccer is actually more tiring than you think because you are often getting knocked down and put in positions you may not be too comfortable with initially. Of course that’s the fun of it. It’s a real great core body workout.
North Webster Community Center is the first in the area to have this fun and exciting activity available. Soon NWCC will be offering Bubble Soccer birthday party packages as well as forming a bubble soccer league for adults and clinics for kids We have child and adult bubbles so players can be as young as 8. There is a weight limit of 250 lbs. To get updates and information about Bubble Soccer, follow us on Facebook or check out www.nwcommunitycenter.org.
