Soft Roads Cause For Concern Throughout Kosciusko
Drivers are advised to take caution when driving on Kosciusko County roads.
According to Ed Rock, director of Kosciusko County Emergency Management, hard freeze conditions during the winter combined with the rapid thawing recently has left county roads very soft.
Rock stated, “When you observe a spot in the road that appears to be heaving up or developing a pothole, be careful because the ground under the asphalt may be washed away causing your vehicle to bottom out or bend a tire rim.”
The problem has not been limited to just Kosciusko County. Marshall and Fulton counties have issued a travel advisory for soft road conditions with many other northern Indiana Counties experiencing problems as well.
Rock advises drivers to slow down and be aware of road conditions.
