John Green, the best-selling author from Indianapolis who wrote “The Fault In Our Stars,” has a new movie based on his book “Paper Towns,” which will debut July 24.

The trailer for the movie debuted this morning on the Today Show. It’s described as a coming-of-age story about two characters, Quentin and Margo, and a mystery.

“It’s about a lot of different kinds of love, not just romantic love,” Green stated on the Today Show. “It’s about friendships, and how important those can be when you’re in high school. And it’s funny. ‘Fault In Our Stars’ had some sad parts, and so that’s a different vibe, as well.”

After an all-night adventure, Margo disappears, leaving Quentin to search for her based on clues she left behind. The search leads Quentin and other friends on an adventure. Ultimately, Quentin must discover a deeper understanding of friendship and love.
