Mason Health and Rehabilitation, a TLC Management facility, was awarded the 2015 Embracing Quality Award by the American Health Care Association during its quality symposium Feb. 24. Mason Health and Rehabilitation was recognized as being a top performer in quality. Only 301 skilled nursing facilities across the US and Canada were honored and recognized as top-performing organizations.

Winning nursing homes were awarded for outstanding performances in one or more of the following categories: attaining a deficiency-free annual survey in 2014; having a low risk-adjusted rate of readmission to hospitals; and achieving exceptionally favorable customer satisfaction ratings.

In order to be eligible to win an Embracing Quality award according to Providigm guidelines, centers needed to achieve Providigm’s Quality Assurance Performance Improvement accreditation. The awards are given to nursing homes that have not only demonstrated a commitment to quality improvement efforts by achieving QAPI accreditation, but who have also achieved exceptional and measurable results in areas of survey performance, readmissions and satisfaction.
