Spots are filling up and time is running out to register for the showing of “Fixed: The Science/Fiction of Human Enhancement” coming Thursday, April 23 to Chautauqua-Wawasee at the Oakwood Resort Hilltop Conference Center, Syracuse.
Dinner begins at 6 p.m. with the director and experts followed by the screening at 7:17 p.m. An expert panel will be held at the conclusion of the film.
Impressive advances may allow people to run, lift and even think better than what is “normal” – challenging what it means to be human. Some in the disability community reject these technologies; for others, accessing them is overwhelmingly expensive and bureaucratic. Will technology put an end to disability? If you could augment your body’s abilities in any way imaginable, would you? With experts, we’ll discuss these questions and more
The event is presented by Chautauqua-Wawasee in collaboration with the award-winning documentary on disability and technology “Fixed: The Science/Fiction of Human Enhancement.” This event is also supported by Parkview Health because of their commitment to the health and well-being of Kosciusko County and northeast Indiana.
