WARSAW – After making his NHRA racing debut at the AAA Insurance NHRA MIdwest Nationals in September 2014, Warsaw native Kyle Wurtzel was eager to secure a sponsor for the 2015 racing season.

Xtreme Edge of Bolingbrook, IL, will be the primary sponsor for the Route 66 NHRA Nationals, which will take place  at the Route 66 Raceway from July 9-12. Mike Wojciechowski of Xtreme Edge was introduced to the idea of sponsoring Kyle Wurtzel racing by his head mechanic, Kurtis Ruszkowski, who serves on Kyle’s crew as the short block specialist.

Wojciechowski is a huge race fan, which is what prompted him to sponsor Kyle Wurtzel Racing. “To be able to see my company’s name sponsoring a car for a sport I love is a huge achievement for me,” says Wojciechowski. “I am looking forward to having an opportunity to be a small part in helping Kyle and his team do something they love while continuing to support the sport that gives me great pleasure.”

Wurtzel looks forward to this partnership and is eager to see many of his fans in Chicago this July.
