Milford library events this week:
Superhero Movie
Join us Monday, March 30 for our Adult Reading Club Superhero Movie Night. We will show recently released movie beginning at 6 p.m. The movie will be shown in the library’s meeting room.
The movie was released in theaters Aug. 1 and is rated PG-13 and is 121 minutes long.
A group of intergalactic criminals are forced to work together to stop a fanatical madman from taking control of the universe. The movie stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista. Follow the aroma of the hot buttery popcorn to the meeting room and enjoy a fun space adventure with us.
Adult Reading Program
The Adult Reading Program ends on Tuesday, March 31. All winter long we have been enjoying lots of great books and entering the weekly drawing. There have been 10 winners so far.
A total of 63 participants have participated in the adult reading program. All drawing entries have been saved for a final, grand prize drawing on Wednesday, April 1. Winners of that drawing will be announced soon. No matter what season of the year, it is always a great time to get lost in a book.
After School is Cool
Join staff at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, in the library meeting room for a fun movie themed craft. Paddington Bear has recently hit the theaters and we are going to make Paddington Bear himself out of toilet paper rolls and paper.
After we make our craft, enjoy a snack with your friends. Remember that each After School is Cool you attend earns you 10 points. When you have 40 points, you can choose a paperback book to add to your home library. See you Tuesday, March 31 for Paddington Bear fun!
Spring Story Time
Hey, your shoes are untied. April Fools. Made you look. Join staff for our first week of Spring story time. There are three available sessions: 10:15 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, or 7 p.m. Thursday, April 2.
Listen to Miss Julie read “April Foolishness” by Teresa Bateman and “Never Tease a Weasel” by Jean Conder Soule. After listening to stories, we will paint a masterpiece using shaving cream, glue and food coloring. Make sure your child is wearing a shirt that is okay to get messy.
After we paint with shaving cream, enjoy an April Fools’ Day snack. Story Time is intended for children from 3 to 6 years of age. Call (574) 658-4312 to register your child today.

Spring Lapsit
This week marks the start of our Infant Lapsit. Lapsit is intended for babies, from infant-36 months and lasts a total of four sessions.
Our theme is bugs! We will do some finger plays, sing some songs such as The Itsy Bitsy Spider and read a few short books about bugs. Join us at 11 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 for our first week.
If you have children who would like to be part of either Story Time or Lapsit, you can call or come in and sign up at the desk in the Children’s Department.
