The Lakes Festival is an annual celebration of our local lakes and waterways. The most popular dates of the festival are those with activities occurring at Winona Lake and Center Lake. This summer, the Winona Lake Festival is on Saturday, June 13 and the Center Lake Festival is on Saturday, June 20.
Festival admission is free and activities include canoeing, a swim race, 5K race, food, live music, a live animal show, display tanks, fishing, swimming, kids’ activities and exhibitors.
Commercial vendor and food vendor applications are now being accepted. Applications and other festival information can be found online at lakesfestival.org.
This year’s top sponsors include Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Silveus Insurance Group, Depuy, Zimmer, Biomet, Louis Dreyfus Commodities, Maple Leaf Farms, and Tippecanoe Watershed Foundation. Additional sponsors are still being sought.
The Center for Lakes & Streams at Grace College conducts applicable research, engages and educates residents, and collaborates with other organizations in efforts to make the lakes and streams of Kosciusko County cleaner. For more information or to support their efforts, visit lakes.grace.edu.
