Brandon Thomas Woody

A notice of an alibi defense was filed late last week in the murder of Tara Thornburg and Josh Knisley. The notice was filed by Scott J. Lennox, attorney for defendant, Brandon T. Woody.

The document states the defense is providing notice of the intention to retain the option to offer alibi as a defense.

The notice provided “the following information regarding the exact whereabouts of the defendant on the date and time of the alleged commission of the offense” stating Woody was at the Kyle DeHart residence, 11136 N. 450E, Syracuse and listed three witnesses who may testify regarding the defendant’s presence at that location on the date and time of the alleged murder.

Those named were Kyle DeHart, same address as listed above; Joan DeHart, same address as listed above; and Allie Skelton, address unknown.
