Cows In Road Cause Traffic Jam On I-69
Indiana State Police were called out to I-69 near Pendleton to corral a group of cows walking along the side of the busy interstate earlier today.
Officials with Madison County Emergency Management said the incident occurred in the southbound lane near the 229 mile marker.
Traffic was slowed and at times stopped while officers worked to get the cows off the road and out of harm’s way. It is unclear how the cows got on the road in the first place.
The scene was cleared by 12:30 p.m.
