Mason Health And Rehabilitation Offers A Special Thanks To Community

Vice President of Public Relations and Community Services, TLC Management
On behalf of the entire staff and residents of Mason Health and Rehabilitation we wish to thank the Warsaw Fire Department, EMS Crews, Police Department, Kosciusko Community Hospital and local nursing facilities who were able to help us during our laundry fire on March 25. A special thanks to Mayor Joseph Thallemer for coming to encourage and lend a helping hand. Together, you all demonstrated to our community how to support and work together in time of need. We couldn’t be more proud of our community.
Although nothing structurally was damaged and the fire was contained in one laundry room dryer, it brought anxiety amongst some residents. The helping hands and encouraging words from our community and staff brought a calmness and assurance that all would be fine. “It really was a team effort and I feel the community embraced us and helped along with the staff, sister facilities and regionals,” explained Amy Metzger, Administrator of Mason Health and Rehabilitation.
Linda, a resident at the facility, couldn’t wait to be home. She was very impressed with the nurse Ericka Ponko who took control of the situation and was helping to move residents out of the building.
“Everyone pitched in everywhere to do the necessary things for a successful evacuation. It was an incredible team effort,” said Ponko.
“It’s reassuring to know that in a crisis, the community of Warsaw will be there for you to assist, support and encourage,” said Gary Ott, President/CEO of TLC Management.
