Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
3:43 p.m. Monday, April 6, East CR 400S and South Country Club Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Terry D. Baker, 47, East CR 500S, Pierceton and Nathan T. Schnepp, 34, Sunset Drive, North Manchester. Baker drove into the path of the Schnepp vehicle. He was arrested for driving while suspended. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
11:41 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, East Center Street, west of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Ivan F. Jackson, 20, Adams Street, Fort Wayne, and Rebecca A. Logan, 22, Lincoln Drive, Warsaw. Jackson turned onto Center Street in front of the Logan vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
5:18 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, Lake City Highway, west of North Parker Street. Drivers: Aaron C. Long, 25, North Walnut Street, Etna Green; John H. Elman Jr., 67, 170th Street, Hammond; and Julie A. Jeffries, 37, Rutland Court, Winona Lake. Injured: Nancy R. Elman, 73, 170th Street, Hammond, passenger in the John Elman vehicle, complained of pain to the neck. She refused medical treatment. Long’s vehicle struck the back of the Elman vehicle, which in turn was pushed into the Jeffries vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
3:55 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, Commerce Drive, Warsaw. A semitractor/trailer registered to CRST Lincoln Sales, Inc., Rockport, was parked in the Big R parking lot having a tire issue resolved. The driver: Derek N. Potts was asked by the Sherwood Tire employee to release the brakes while the trailer was jacked up. Potts was away from the truck when the repairman lowered the trailer. Due to the brake not being engaged, the semitractor and trailer rolled across the parking lot hitting a parked vehicle registered to Mary J. Holmes, EMS C29A Lane, Warsaw. Damage up to $25,000.
