Jeremy Wayne Borkholder, 36, formerly of Nappanee, died at 5:15 a.m., Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Signature Health Care in Bremen, after a long illness following a scooter accident near Nappanee on Aug. 13, 1995.

He was born April 30, 1978, in Bremen, to Loren J. and Marilyn (Hochstetler) Borkholder.

Jeremy lived his lifetime in the area. He had attended South Side Elementary and Nappanee Middle School. He loved all sports, knock knock jokes and enjoyed being around little children. He was a member of Berea Christian Fellowship.

Jeremy is survived by his mother: Marilyn Borkholder, Nappanee; brothers: Joshua Loren Borkholder, Indianapolis; Joel Devon Borkholder, at home; John Ira (Tricia) Borkholder, Elkhart; and his grandmother: Laura Hochstetler, Nappanee.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 11, and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 13, at The Pond, located at 3403 E. County Line Road, in Nappanee. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service. Home Ministry of Berea Christian Fellowship will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
