A free laser show to celebrate reading through the summer is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, May 8, at the Wawasee Middle School gym. Young people that read books during the summer explore thoughts and ideas while developing a relationship with the act of reading.
Joining together to promote reading during the summer are the Wawasee, Milford, Syracuse and North Webster schools, public libraries, school libraries and parent-teacher organizations.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for first come seating for adults, families and young adults of the Wawasee School district.
The laser show is presented by the West Lafayette company, Lasershows 101, that present shows that fill the gym with colors moving with the music. They say their show contains all the elements of a full laser show with full-color animations as well as stunning beam effects that slice the air over the audience.
