Fort Wayne Woman Arrested For Hawaiian Murder
Alisa “Lisa” Marie Jackson, 24, a fugitive wanted in connection with the stabbing death of a woman in Hawaii, was arrested at the Coliseum Park Apartments in Fort Wayne Friday, April 24.
Jackson, wanted on a federal warrant, was taken into custody by FBI Special Agents. She is accused of killing Catherine Walker at Aliamanu Military Reservation in November 2014.
Walker’s husband was a soldier assigned to Tripler Army Medical Center on the island of Oahu. Jackson was living on the military base at the time, as one of her parents was in the military according to the FBI. A motive has not been released due to the ongoing investigation.
Jackson will appear in U.S. District Court in Indiana for an extradition hearing. A date has not yet been set for her transportation back to Hawaii for trial, however the process usually takes approximately three weeks.
Jackson has been indicted by a grand jury in Honolulu on first degree murder charges, according to the FBI. The maximum penalty she will face is death or life imprisonment.
