Indiana High Schools Rank Among ‘Most Challenging’
Several Indiana high schools have been included on The Washington Post’s annual list of the country’s “most challenging.”
The rankings were based on several factors including the number of students taking advanced placement courses, international baccalaureate tests and advanced international certificate of education tests. Also noted are the percentage of students who come from families that qualify for lunch subsidies and the percentage of graduates who pass at least one college-level test during their high school career.
More than 2,300 schools nationwide were ranked. The Indiana schools that placed in the top 1,000 include:
10. The Signature School, Evansville
76. International School of Indiana, Indianapolis
283. Herron High School, Indianapolis
496. Yorktown High School
643. Zionsville High School
844. Fishers High School
861. Munster High School
906. Burris Laboratory, Muncie
