Annabelle L. Barrick, 91, of Nappanee, died at 3:56 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at IU Health Goshen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Hartford City, to Virgin and Elizabeth (Atkinson) Slain. She moved to Nappanee in 1961 from Benton Harbor. She was a member of the Nappanee United Methodist Church, Garden Club, and the Rebekah Circle at the church, and the Nappanee Bridge Club.

Annabelle married Howard J. Barrick on July 31, 1948 in Fort Wayne. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1992.

Surviving are a son: Phillip Barrick, Arlington, Texas; and a sister: Evelyn Blevins, Virden, Ill.

She was preceded in death by sisters: Mildred Kumfer and Betsy Wood.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and an hour prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 30, at Nappanee United Methodist Church. There will be a graveside service at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30. Pastor Jim Davidson will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be given to Nappanee United Methodist Church.
