Donald Dean Miller
Donald Dean Miller, 76, of Goshen, passed away Friday, May 8, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, where he had been the past week.
He was born Sept. 9, 1938 in Nappanee to John K. and Magdelina “Martha” (Miller) Miller.
On Aug. 1, 1958 he married Carolyn June Haney in Nappanee.
She survives along with a daughter: Katherine “Kathy” (James) Stichter, Goshen; two grandchildren: Emily Stichter; Nathan Stichter; and a sister: Pauline Otto, Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Geneva Parker; and Dorothy Collins; and two brothers: Howard and Charles Miller.
A 1957 graduate of Nappanee High School, Mr. Miller attended Frankfort Pilgrim College and graduated from Indiana Wesleyan College in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in ministry.
Don did mission work with the Zulu tribe in South Africa from 1964 through 1980. He owned and operated Peddler’s Village from 1994 to 2008. He was attending River Oaks Church.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 11, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 6 p.m. funeral service will follow. Pastor Scott Tilley, of River Oaks Church, will officiate.
Burial in Olive East Cemetery will be on Tuesday, May 12.
