Zolman Taking Talent To Earlham
NORTH MANCHESTER – Chainey Zolman wrapped up his high school basketball career with a stellar senior season at Manchester High School.
Now, he knows where he will take his game on the next level.
Zolman, a smooth 6-7 forward, has signed his letter of intent to play next season at Earldom College in Richmond.
Zolman, who spent his first three prep seasons at Tippecanoe Valley High School, led the Squires to a 17-8 overall mark during the 2014-15 season. Manchester finished 6-1 in Three Rivers Conference play to share the league championship with Tippecanoe Valley and Southwood. The Squires also captured the county tournament title and were sectional runner-up in the Class 2-A Oak Hill Sectional, losing 67-63 to the hosts in the championship contest.
Zolman, the son of Chris and Jenny Zolman, averaged team highs of 18 points and seven rebounds per game for coach Eric Thompson’s team.
Zolman becomes the second area player to sign with Earlham. Former Warsaw guard Nick Sands signed with the Quakers last week. Earlham, coached by Jason Polykoff, competes in NCAA Division III and went 2-23 overall and 2-16 in conference play during the 2014-15 campaign.
