Annual Cruisin’ ‘Cuse Show Friday, Saturday
What Wawasee Kiwanis Club calls “The Biggest Little Show in Indiana,” the 27th annual Cruisin’ ‘Cuse Car Show, takes place Friday and Saturday, May 15-16, in Syracuse.
Classic cars, pet projects and vehicles of all makes, models and production years typically participate in the popular pre-summer tradition. The cruise-in, a judged show, games and food are among the scheduled activities. Several new categories have been added to the judged show so there are even more ways to win.
Over 125 local owners, as well car buffs in neighboring states, are expected to pull in to town for the two days.
Friday Evening
The fun gets underway Friday evening with the traditional cruise-in, during which owners will park a variety of contemporary and antique vehicles on Main Street between SR 13 and the lake.
Main Street will be blocked off starting at 3:30 p.m. Exhibitors should be in place by 4:30 p.m., and local vendors and entertainment will set up on all four corners of the intersection of Main and SR 13 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Musical entertainment will consist of Big Daddy Dupree and The Broke and Hungry Blues Band. Volunteers at several booths will hand out information and run contests for the kids, and just after dark an outdoor movie will be shown in the public parking lot across the street from the library.
