The victim of today’s fatality crash along U.S. 30 near Pierceton has been identified by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office. Mark Phillip Sikorski, 45, Kenosha, Wis., has been officially identified as the deceased driver, according to Kosciusko County Coroner Michael Wilson.
Sikorski was westbound on U.S. 30, just east of the town of Pierceton, when the semi-tractor/trailer that he was operating, suddenly crossed the median and opposite lanes of traffic before impacting a vacant building.
Wilson stated a scheduled autopsy is planned for tomorrow at the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center, Fort Wayne, for actual cause of death. Wilson also advised that required legal blood toxicology might also extend the actual time of final determination.
