Louis E. Flora, age 82, of Bremen, passed away at 2:09 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at I.U. Health Goshen Hospital, in Goshen.

Louis was born on Oct. 29, 1932, in Bremen, to John L. and Thelma Bates (Yenna) Flora. He graduated with the class of 1950 from Bremen High School and was a Bremen High School Cheerleader during the 1949-1950 basketball season. Louis had planned on attending Indiana University after high school, instead he honorably served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Wisconsin BB64 and the USS Franklin Delano Roosevelt from Dec. 1951 to Sept. 1954. He enjoyed working closely with the Marshall County Historical Museum and Genealogy Society in preserving history.

Louis is survived by his brother: John Flora Jr., Argos; one nephew; four nieces; and special friends: Tricia Troyer; and Terry Misner. He was preceded in passing by his brother: Russell G. Flora; his sister: Mary Edgar; and two nephews.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, at Bremen Cemetery, Bremen, with Rev. Neil Wonnacott officiating.
