Craig ‘Sam’ Foster
Mr. Craig “Sam” Foster, 61, of Rochester, passed away at 7:28 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at Woodlawn Hospital.
On Nov. 26, 1953, Sam was born in Indianapolis to Milton and Betty Jane Bruce Foster. Growing up he shared his childhood with three brothers: Steven; Bruce; and David. As a U.S. Army Veteran, Sam served during the Vietnam Era.
Sam and Selene Hostetler were married on Sept. 30, 1979. Their union produced a son and daughter. Another generation of nine grandchildren have been added to the family tree.
As a professional truck driver, Sam enjoyed mingling with people over breakfast and a cup of coffee. Until his health declined, he worked for Certified Farm Services of Kewanna.
Sam will be lovingly remembered by his daughter: Melissa Foster; his son: Nicholas (Jeanne) Foster, all of Plymouth; nine grandchildren: Kaitlin Moore; Angel Moore; Michael Moore; Ethan Moore; Brooklyn; Jasmine; Braedyn; Kezie; and Kameron Foster; his brother: Steven (Barb) Foster, Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Sam in death are his parents and two brothers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 21, at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester. Military honors will be conducted by the Fulton County honor guard and the U.S. Army honor guard. Calling is one hour prior to services Thursday.
