SUPERHERO SHOW AT NAPPANEE LIBRARY
“The Superhero Show” is coming to the Nappanee Public Library from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 9. Test your personal super powers and your comic book knowledge, learn the story of Superman and tour a mini museum full of rare comic books, original superhero art and cool collectibles.
Kids of all ages are invited, and no registration is necessary. Those under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult.
More weekly programs for families are coming to the library in June and July. Learn the stories of many different types of heroes with special guests from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays. Enjoy comedy, magic, visits from zoo animals, American folk tales, music, science and much more.
In addition to these activities, the library is planning ongoing open Lego build times, movie matinees, craft projects and giant games throughout the summer.
PINTEREST NIGHT AT NAPPANEE LIBRARY
Light up your summer parties with a set of pool noodle luminaries you make yourself at the next Pinterest Night at the Nappanee Library. Crafters will meet in the cube, the library’s new makerspace, 6 to 8 p.m Wednesday, June 10. All materials will be provided to make a set of four votive-type luminaries. The cost is $5 per set.
All ages are welcome, but children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Pinterest Night is designed as a collaborative, learn-as-you-make program where participants share ideas and tips to complete popular projects found on Pinterest, the virtual bulletin board and internet hub for bookmarking lifestyle links and images.
