Alice Marie Loder of Winona Lake, went home to be with her Lord at 12:05 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015, at her granddaughter’s residence in Warsaw, at the age of 96.

Alice was born in Flint, Mich. on July 18, 1918, the daughter of the late Ralph and Clara (Seltzer) Coupland and was a lifetime resident of Flint. On Oct. 7, 1939, she married Leonard K. Loder at Third Avenue Baptist Church in Flint. He preceded her in death in 2000. Alice was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a former member of Faith Baptist Church of Davison.

She is survived by her children: Stanley (Sue Ellen), Keyser, W.Va.; Paul (Sandie), Indianapolis; Lois (Jim) Aspin, Flint, Mich; and Daniel (Carol), Easley, S.C. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two nieces.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister: Hazel Springgay; and her brother: Raymond Coupland.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, at Swartz Funeral Home, Flint, Mich. There will also be time for visitation at 10 a.m. , one hour before the service which begins at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 28, at Trinity Baptist Church, Flushing, Mich. and will be officiated by Pastor Kevin Thoman. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint, Mich.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, Michigan.
