French Lick Resort Named Best Historic Hotel By USA Today Readers
The French Lick Resort in French Lick, Indiana, has received the reader’s choice award in USA Today’s list of best historic hotels in the United States. The resort came in at the top of the list in reader voting.
A selection of 20 hotels were nominated for the award out of 260 hotels recognized by Historic Hotels of America. Readers were then given one month to vote for their favorite and French Lick Resort came out on top.
The resort features two hotels located in the Hoosier National Forest, French Lick Springs Hotel and West Baden Springs Hotel. There are also 45 holes of golf, two spas, Las Vegas style gaming, horseback riding, activities for children and more than 200,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
“For USA Today’s savvy world travelers to single out French Lick Resort amongst the prestigious list of historic properties speaks volumes about how far we’ve come since our reopening just nine years ago,” said Joe Vezzoso, VP of resort operations. “With a readership of 3.1 million, there’s huge opportunity for us to get our property in front of a lot of potential visitors.”
