Dorothy ‘Dotti’ Sue Peek
Dorothy “Dotti” Sue Peek, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015.
The daughter of Donald J. and Thelma L. Young Brown, Dotti was born Nov. 7, 1934, in Indianapolis. She was married to Jack D. Peek, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the Franklin Township Civic League, Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce, founding member of Buck Creek Players, Epilogue Players, Indiana Community Theatre League and American Association of Community Theatres.
In recent years, she worked for the Franklin Central Christian Church. Previously, she had worked for IUPUI Theatre and Edyvean Repertory Theatre; served as editor for the Franklin Township Informer, various theatres, churches and community organizations. She drove school bus for Franklin Township School and delivered for Sandy’s Flowers.
She worked as secretary and receptionist for the former Stirling – Gerber Funeral Home.
Dotti is survived by son: Jack D. “Donnie” Peek II; daughters: Susie Leach; and Jenny L. Peek; sister: Donna L. Joyce; granddaughters: Jessica C. Hunter; Jacinda D. Peek; Casey R. Leach; and Ashley E. Peek; and great-grandchildren: Sieera J Hunter; Dayton A. Hunter. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Jack D. Peek; and a sister: Janet R. Fallowfield Sheets.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 31, at St. John Lutheran Church. The family will hold a celebration of life gathering at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 7, at Buck Creek Players.
