Rev. Noel Reed, Jr. passed away at 7:36 a.m. June 16, 2015, in his residence. He and his spouse, Maurine, retired in 2002, making their home in North Manchester.

He was born in Roanoke, Feb. 20, 1934, to Noel, Sr., and Lilly Mendenhall Reed. His siblings include Nola “Dolly” Osmon, Fort Wayne; Lawrence “Corky” (Bonnie) Reed, Columbia City; and Charles “Butch” (Sally) Reed, Fort Wayne.  

Children include: Larry (Felicity) Reed, Larnica, Cyprus; Gary Reed, St. Louis, Mo.; Linda (Timothy) Wallace, Hartford City; Gregg (Colleen) Reed, Wabash; and Kevin Reed, Logansport; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Noel retired from an active life as a Jr/Sr high school educator, school administrator and church pastor. 

His testimony might well be, “Life has been full with God present in all things wherein I have been involved in service to others in the name of Jesus Christ.”

Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, June 22, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, at the funeral home. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Gardens of Memory, Marion.
