Donald Lee Gunter
Donald Lee Gunter, 67, Rochester, passed away at 11:27 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
He was born on March 14, 1948, in Winamac, the son of Clarence and Laura Ellen (Irvin) Gunter. On June 13, 1998, in Rochester, he married Karen Hively. She preceded him in death on April 3, 2009.
Donald had worked many years at Rochester Metal Products, Rochester. He attended Rochester Church of God. He was an avid NASCAR enthusiast, especially Bobby LaBonte and a huge Three Stooges fan.
He is survived by his stepchildren: Brenda (Keith) Ernest, Rochester; Chuck (Paula) Kline, Fishers; Nick (Mindi) Kline, Tippecanoe; Angie (Dan) Johnson; Tina Kline; and Crystal Hively, all of Rochester; several step grandchildren; sister: Nancy (Denny) Kuritz, Logansport; sister-in-law: Shari (Terry) Burns, Denver; several nieces and nephews; and long time friends: Jim Callaway; and Van. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: George Evans; Harold Rawlings; and Andrew Gunter.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with Rev. Larry Pyeatt officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday June 20, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Community Resource Center.
