On Sunday afternoon, infant twin Greyson Gunnar Ty Schmidt joined his brother Jaxton in the eternal care of Our Lord Jesus Christ. They were born premature on the June 4, 2015, and remained in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

Jaxton is survived by his parents: Broderick T. and Kyleigh S. (Sage) Schmidt, Culver; and a loving family: paternal grandparents: Steve E. Schmidt, Culver; Tory R. Schmidt, South Bend; paternal great-grandparents: Norva and Brian Shidler, Culver; and Robert “Bobby” and Faith Tennyson, Mishawaka; maternal grandparents: John “Tim” and Tonya Sage, Culver; maternal great-grandparents: Bill and Mardell Retschlag, Winamac; Fred Lemert, Plymouth; and John Sage, Donaldson. A host of aunts; uncles; and cousins also survive.

Preceding in death were paternal great-grandparents: Marilyn Joan and Richard Elmer Schmidt; and maternal great-grandmothers: Margaret June Sage; and Peggy Ann Lemert.
