Harold F. Wallace
Harold F. Wallace, 93, of South Bend, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2015, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on July 20, 1921, in Argos, to the late Carl B. and Helen (Shafer) Wallace. On April 8, 1942 in Plymouth, he was united in marriage to Betty Lou (Enders) Wallace.
Mr. Wallace is survived by his wife of 73 years: Betty Lou Wallace; two daughters: Karen Sue (David) Hill; and Patricia Kay (David) Powell, both of Mishawaka; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; sister: Connie (Maurice) Eston, Fort Wayne; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Violet Cataldo; and brother: Robert Wallace.
Mr. Wallace was a lifelong area resident. He served honorably in the United States Army during World War II. He retired in 1983 as a foreman for Indiana and Michigan Electric Company after 41 years of service.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, at Coalbush United Methodist Church, Mishawaka.
Graveside services and burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery, Bremen. Friends may visit with the family from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend.
