Flood Warning Issued For Eel River
The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Eel River at North Manchester from Saturday morning to Monday evening.
At 3 p.m. Friday, the stage was 4.6 feet and steady. Moderate flooding is in the forecast. The flood stage is 9 feet.
It is expected the river will rise above flood stage Saturday morning, June 27, and crest near 11.8 feet around 8 p.m Saturday, June 27, and fall below flood stage around 8 p.m. Sunday, June 28. At 11 feet, flood water will near the Lumber Company and Trailer Court on South Mill Street.
This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.4 feet which occurred on Nov. 20, 2011.
