Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:24 p.m. Friday, June 26, North CR 650E, north of East CR 200N, Pierceton. Driver: Roger E. Middleton, 83, Dot Street, Warsaw. Police arrived at the scene to see Middleton’s vehicle on its top in the southbound lane of CR 650E and a utility police broken in half. Middleton did not remember the crash. He suffered a head injury and his passenger, Velma L. Heeley, 87, EMS B36B Lane, Warsaw, suffered an abrasion to the chest. Both were taken to Lutheran Hospital for further treatment. Damage up to $10,000.
10:38 a.m. Friday, June 26, South CR 350E, north of East CR 400S, Warsaw. Driver: Mimi S. LaRue, 62, South Maple Grove Lane, Warsaw. Hit dog. Damage up to $2,500.
10:21 a.m. Friday, June 26, North Sawgrass Lane, east of North Village Drive, North Webster. Driver: Catherine L. Schmidt, 42, South Roosevelt Street, Warsaw. Schmidt misjudged the distance between her vehicle and the vehicle parked in front of her when driving from a parking space, hitting the vehicle registered to Michael M. Doll, East CR 500N, Leesburg. Damage up to $2,500.
5:46 p.m. Thursday, June 25, South Packerton Road, north of East CR 1200S, North Manchester. Driver: Jose R. Diaz, 20, East Fourth Street, North Manchester. Diaz drove off the right side of the road, saw a pole, then over corrected his vehicle, causing it to go across the roadway and into an embankment. He was arrested for operator never licensed. Damage up to $5,000.
2:15 p.m. Thursday, June 25, South SR 19, Warsaw. Driver: Ethan C. Smith, 18, Janet Drive, Akron. Smith was backing from a parking space at Tippecanoe Valley High School and struck a parked vehicle registered to Christopher J. Kromkowski, East CR 650N, Rochester. Damage up to $2,500.
7:05 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, South CR 425W, south of West CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Katrina R. Johnson, 30, Lake Everett Drive, Fort Wayne. Johnson’s vehicle went off the road and into a ditch. She suffered neck and possible head injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:29 p.m. Sunday, June 28, Jalynn Street, west of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Amy M. Comadoll,43, West CR 600N, Warsaw, and Phillip D. Kuffel, 54, Coyote Lane, Lincoln, Calif. Comadoll’s vehicle struck the back of the Kuffel vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
10:41 a.m. Sunday, June 28, Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Drivers: Norman McGuire, 72, Mary Mac Drive, Warsaw, and Dixie S. Secrist, 74, South CR 1000W, Mentone. McGuire’s vehicle struck the Secrist vehicle in the parking lot at Wal-Mart. Damage up to $5,000.
3:40 p.m. Saturday, June 27, West Winona Avenue and South Columbia Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael A. Blue, 18, West Winona Avenue, Warsaw; and Dusty L. Olivarez, 35, Godman Street, Warsaw. Injured: Olivarez complained of pain to the abdomen area where she had surgery on June 16; Jose A. Olivarez, 37, Godman Street, Warsaw, complained of shoulder pain where he had rotator cuff surgery in May; and Marissa Olivarez, 11, Godman Street, Warsaw, who has a heart condition, complained of chest and head pain. All three were checked by paramedics and signed off on being transported to the hospital for immediate treatment. Blue’s vehicle struck the back of the Olivarez vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
9:47 p.m. Friday, June 26, North Detroit Street at the US 30 Ramp, Warsaw. Drivers: Eric L. Rodriguez, 27, West Coy Avenue, Silver Lake, and Ashley N. Tinman, 25, South Union Street, Knox. Injured: Rodriguez suffered a head injury and Tinman complained of pain to the chest. Injured passengers in Tinman’s vehicle: Donald E. Rininger, 62, West Garro Street, Plymouth, complained of pain to the knee, lower leg; Susan I. Rininger, 60, West Garro Street, Plymouth, complained of pain to the upper leg; and Penny Paul, 31, B Road, Bremen, suffered an abrasion to the head. Rodriguez ran the stoplight, hitting the Tinman vehicle, before going into the ditch. Rodriguez was cited for refusal to submit to a breath test. Damage up to $25,000.
7:39 p.m. Friday, June 26, North Park Avenue and East Clark Street, Warsaw. Divers: Amanda M. Elder, 28, Normandy Lane, Warsaw, and Jamie L. Spencer, 37, North Park Avenue, Warsaw. Elder failed to see the Spencer vehicle before entering the intersection. Elder complained of pain to her elbow and Spencer complained of pain to her wrist. Both driver’s refused medical attention. Damage up to $10,000.
5:55 p.m. Friday, June 26, North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Christina A. Laux, 43, Oriole Lane, Warsaw, and Raymond F. Behling, 53, West CR 200S, Warsaw. Laux was backing her vehicle and struck the Behling vehicle behind her. Damage up to $2,500.
4:32 p.m Friday, June 26, East Center Street and Court Street, Warsaw. Driver: Ivee L. Hobbs, 39, South Indiana Street, Warsaw. Hobbs’ moped hit a slick spot in the road, causing her to lay down the moped. She suffered a fracture dislocation to the knee, lower leg area and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damage up to $5,000.
10:59 a.m. Friday, June 26, East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Risa K. Crouse, 56, Isle View Drive, Winona Lake, and Kelly J. Dawson, 43 North Bobwhite Drive, Warsaw. Crouse and Dawson were backing from parking spaces on the opposite side of the drive when the vehicles collided. Damage up to $2,500.
1:45 p.m. Thursday, June 25, Country Club Road and Glee Miner Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Anna J. Decker, 18, Country Club Drive, Warsaw, and Cassandra L. Zeigler, 17, Country Club Drive East, Warsaw. Decker’s vehicle struck the back of the Zeigler vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
11:23 a.m. Thursday, June 25, West Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: David D. Snodgrass, 56, North Blue Heron Drive, Warsaw, and Jacob W. Ringger, 29, Greenfield Lane, Bluffton. Snodgrass backed from a parking space, failing to see the Ringger driven vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident
4:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, East Pierceton Road, Winona Lake. Drivers: Katie M. Newland, 17, Rozella Road, Warsaw, and Alicia M. Elder, 25, East Keith Street, Pierceton. Newland was backing from a parking space in the parking lot of Stonehenge Golf Club, when she backed into the Elder vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
