Spencer Police Officer Dragged By Vehicle, Suspects Fled
Police are seeking the whereabouts of two people involved in an incident that resulted in an officer being dragged by a vehicle.
A Spencer, Indiana, police officer was responding to a domestic call June 25 between a male and female inside a vehicle near Main and Morgan streets in Spencer. The officer approached the vehicle and asked the driver to exit.
Instead of cooperating, the driver put the vehicle in drive in an effort to flee. The officer reached through the window in an attempt to remove the keys and shut off the vehicle, but instead ended up being dragged approximately 100 feet.
The officer was not seriously injured.
