It’s county fair time across Indiana. Many county fairs open later this month, and that means 4-H members are working hard on putting the finishing touches on their projects. It’s less than 30 days away from the Elkhart County 4-H Fair.
Here’s the schedule of project check in and judging:
Four-H Fashion Revue judging starts at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 10, and will be followed by the public Fashion Revue show at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 11. The Fashion Revue judging and public show will be held at Northridge High School in Middlebury.
Open judging for consumer clothing, foods, genealogy, microwave foods and sewing will be held Tuesday, July 14. Entry times are from noon until 6 p.m. in the Elkhart County Community Center building located on the 4-H Fairgrounds.
Open judging for cake decorating projects is from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and continue from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 22. Open judging for floriculture, garden, and potatoes will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday, July 23.
All other non-livestock projects including Mini 4-H will be checked in from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, July 20. All projects will be entered in the 4-H Exhibit area in the Elkhart County Community Center. Ribbons and judges comment sheets will be released starting at 10 a.m. Friday, July 24 and continuing throughout the fair. Projects will be released from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3.
Be sure to come out to the 2015 Elkhart County 4-H Fair and view the 4-H exhibits. 4-H members have worked on their projects throughout the year, and the fair is a showcase for their efforts and talents. This year’s fair opens at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, July 24. Come join us this year for a fair that is “Planning Toward a Bright Future!”
