Tip Leads Indiana Conservation Officers To Local Fishing Pinch

A tip to our (800) TIP-IDNR line was successful as many of them are. Indiana Conservation Officer Maher was able to locate and address two men fishing on Kuhn Lake that had overbagged (caught and kept too many) undersized large mouth bass and without a fishing license.
Thirteen out of the 14 large mouth bass that were in possession were under the required size of 14 inches and the total allowed for each fishermen is five.
Fish and wildlife laws are there to wisely conserve our natural resources for future generations to enjoy. Those that violate that could face criminal charges. In this case the suspects were issued tickets.
Everyday responsible sportsmen/women call and report the illegal taking of fish and game to (800) TIP-IDNR. This is just one more example of how Indiana Conservation Officers and the public can work together to address poaching across the state. Never hesitate to call if you see something suspicious.
