Leo D. Kerber Jr.
Leo D. Kerber Jr., 65, of Warsaw, passed away on Dec. 18, 2014, at his residence. He was born on April 8, 1949 in Woodstock, Illinois.
Leo D. Kerber aka Lee, was a longtime resident of Warsaw. He was born to Leo D. and Margaret Kerber.
Lee graduated Warsaw High School in 1967. He then attended St. Joseph College in Rensselaer. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 1971. He returned to Warsaw after college and retired from Ranger Materials where he worked for over 20 years as a Bookkeeper.
He was a member of The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw where he became a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his two nieces Kathleen Marie McCoy and Christine Lee Milliken, Indianapolis; Paul and Jean Kerber, Colfax, Ill.; Lynn Kerber, Leesburg; brothers in-law: Tom Maher, Kokomo; and Darwin Call, Warsaw.
He is preceded in death by his father: Leo D. Kerber, Leesburg; his mother: Margaret Tassie, Union City, Mich.; his sister: Barbara Ann Maher, Kokomo; and his uncle: Robert Kerber, Colfax, Ill.
Lee was an exceptional son, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. Throughout his life, he craved knowledge and was rarely seen without a book or newspaper in his hand. His compassion, sweet nature, sense of humor and laughter are deeply missed by his remaining family.
Services and Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Oswego Cemetery, Leesburg, by Father Phil DeVolder. McHatton-Sadler is entrusted to the family for services.
