Coach Kelly Set To Throw Out First Pitch
SOUTH BEND – The Centre P.C. is hosting a “Night at the Ballpark” on Thursday, July 23rd at Four Winds Field in support of the Kelly Cares Foundation.
University of Notre Dame head football coach Brian Kelly and wife Paqui will be on hand at the game to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the 7:05 matchup between the South Bend Cubs and the Great Lakes Loons. Dr. Ronald Downs and Dr. Patrick Viscardi from The Centre, P.C. will be joining the Kellys in throwing out the first pitch.
Leading up to the Night at the Ballpark, the South Bend Cubs, Kelly Cares Foundation and The Centre, P.C. are hosting an online raffle to raise money for the charity which will run until July 20th. For every $5 donation, fans are entered to win tickets to the game along with a football signed by Coach Kelly, a photo with Coach Kelly and Paqui on the baseball diamond, services and products from The Centre, P.C., and others items. To enter, fans can visit www.kellycaresfoundation.org.
The appearance at Four Winds Field on Thursday, July 23 will bring together area physicians and their families with Coach Kelly to draw attention to the work of the Kelly Cares Foundation with a private event during the game. Fans will have the chance to learn more out about Kelly Cares Foundation when Brian and Paqui go on air with official South Bend Cubs radio broadcaster Darin Pritchett for a pre-game interview.
“There’s something about a night at the ballpark that just puts everybody in a good mood,” said Dr. Ronald Downs, CEO at The Centre, P.C. “It’s really what the summer is about. Brian and Paqui deeply appreciate the tireless efforts of our region’s doctors when it comes to cancer treatment. Their partnership is something to celebrate, and that’s what this night is about. Plus, he’s a bit of a baseball fan-so when he had the chance to throw out the first pitch, he wasn’t about to turn it down.”
