Walorski Congratulates Indiana’s 2015 Principal Of The Year
WASHINGTON D.C. – Rep. Jackie Walorski (IN-02) today congratulated Principal James Condon of Plymouth High School for being named the 2015 Principal of the Year by the Association of Secondary School Principals.
“Talented administrators create a supportive learning environment and give teachers the tools to teach future generations how to compete for the jobs of the future,” said Walorski. “Principal Condon is a great example of the talent northern Indiana possesses and I am grateful he’s being recognized for outstanding leadership. Plymouth is lucky to have him and I offer my sincerest congratulations on a job well done.”
For the last 20 years, Condon has been contributing to the betterment of Indiana education. His leadership has led to the development of digital and project-based learning, creation of dual credit courses and preparation of students for the job market. Since he became the principal of Plymouth High School in 2007, the school has been rated as one of the top high schools in Indiana and has received an ‘A’ rating from the state in school accountability.
The National Association of Secondary School Principals’ Principal of the Year Program recognizes outstanding middle school level and high school principals who have succeeded in providing high-quality learning opportunities for students. Recipients are chosen based on their performance in four categories, which include personal excellence, collaborative leadership, curriculum and personalization.
