Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
6:12 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, West Old Road 30 and East High Street, Warsaw. Driver: Oscar Chavez, 56, P.O. Box, Plymouth. Hit Deer. Damage up to $2,500.
5:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, West US 30, east of North CR 150W, Warsaw. Driver: Linda L. Alto, 51, South CR 900W, Mentone. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
8:57 p.m. Monday, July 13, Frontage Road, west of East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Ross M. Minear, 31, East Barberry Drive, Warsaw. Witnesses told police they saw the police vehicle hydroplane and start to spin with the back of the police vehicle hitting the curb, then the pole, rolling at least once before coming to stop in bushes. Minear was transported to Lutheran Hospital after complaining of pain to his entire body. Police found a large puddle of water covering the westbound lane. Damage up to $25,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
10:19 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, North Detroit Street, east of West CR 350N, Warsaw. Drivers: Theo R. TImmerman, 21, East CR 500N, Leesburg, and Raymond L. Briney, 71, North Old Farm Road, Warsaw. Timmerman’s vehicle rolled backward hitting the Briney vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
7:18 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, West CR 300N and Shelden Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Braxton I. Mitchell, 17, West Sycamore Road, Warsaw, and Michael A. Farner, 22, East Smith Street, Warsaw. Mitchell failed to see the Farner vehicle before entering the intersection. Damage up to $2,500.
2 p.m. Sunday, July 12, East Center Street, Warsaw. Diver: Anjeanette M. Ryall, 20, North CR 900E, Pierceton. Ryall was backing from a parking space and struck a parked vehicle, registered to Debora D. Winger, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Damage up to $2,500.
6:38 p.m. Friday, July 10, East Smith Street, Warsaw. Driver: Danny R. Sharp, 59, North Orn Road, Milford. Sharp failed to secure a parking brake before exiting his truck causing it to roll forward and hit a parked vehicle registered to Tony D. Baker, East Pierceton Road, Warsaw. Damage up to $2,500.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
12:36 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, East Winona Avenue and Argonne Road, Winona Lake. Drivers: Kristine S. Norton, 35, Country Club Lane, Warsaw, and Tracy D. Greenfield, 41, East US 30, Pierceton. Norton struck the back of the Greenfield vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
