Montgomery Gentry To Perform In Place of Adkins
GOSHEN — Fans of Trace Adkins will not get to hear their favorite country singer at this year’s Elkhart County 4-H Fair.
Due to a filming change for a movie Adkins will appear in, the country star will no longer be performing at the fair.
The country show will go on, however, as Montgomery Gentry has stepped up and agreed to replace Adkins in this year’s entertainment lineup.
“While we’re disappointed to not have Trace Adkins able to join us as planned, we’re excited to be able to bring in a great act like Montgomery Gentry to take his place,” 2015 Fair Board President Rich Utley said in a news release. “This will be the first time Montgomery Gentry performs at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair and I am really excited to see them on our stage.”
The concert is set for 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, on the fair’s main stage. Those who purchased tickets for Trace Adkins will still be able to use them for the Montgomery Gentry show, if they choose. Those wishing for a refund can contact the fair’s vendor, Etix, at (800) 514-3849 any time before 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, July 28.
