Pointdexter Earns MVP Honors
INDIANAPOLIS – Jerrell Pointdexter made the most of his opportunities.
The former Concord High School football standout earned MVP honors in the Indiana Football Coaches Association All-Star game at North Central High School.
Pointdexter touched the pigskin three times, but still earned top honors after helping lead the North team to a 20-7 win over the South in the annual all-star contest.
Pointdexter had two receptions, including one for a 34-yard touchdown. He also returned a punt 35 yards to set up another touchdown.
Cam Ridenour, who played at Northridge High School, forced a fumble to set up one touchdown for the winners.
Northridge head coach Tom Wogomon was one of the assistant coaches for the victorious North All-Star team.
