Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
2:27 a.m. Sunday, July 19, North Harrison Court, Syracuse. Driver: Billy J. Pearson, 22, South Harkless Drive, Syracuse. Police were called to the area of North Huntington and High streets for an accident and found an unoccupied vehicle that had gone off the roadway, hitting a curb, fence and tree line, owned by Eric L. Genshaw. Pearson was later located and did not remember how the accident happened. Alcohol was a contributing factor. Damage up to $25,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:25 p.m. Monday, July 20, Lake City Highway and Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Singh Harpreet, 27, Kettletoft Court, Stockbridge, Ga., and Raymond A. Hall, 63, Garberdale Square, Bolivar, Ohio.. Harpreet’s semi struck the back of the Hall semi. Damage up to $100,000.
4:07 p.m. Monday, July 20, North Detroit Street, north of Poor Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Rachel E. Hacha, 20, Emerald Court, Plymouth; Emma M. Sainer, 27, William Drive, Winona Lake; and Kenneth W. Poulard, 57, South CR 300E, Kokomo. Hacha’s vehicle struck the back of the Sainer vehicle, which was pushed into the back of the Poulard vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
2:52 p.m. Monday, July 20, East Center Street and Tamarack Street, Warsaw. Driver: Dennis C. Kostro, 70, EMS C27 Lane, Warsaw. Kostro suffered contusion/bruise to his entire body and was transported to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Kostro stated a red vehicle turned in front of him. He laid the bike down to avoid being thrown over his motorcycle and hitting the passenger vehicle. The other drive left the scene. Damage up to
11:10 p.m. Friday, July 17, East Winona Avenue and South Bronson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Ryne E. Hileman, 30, Souh CR 1275E, Akron, and Aaron T. Richard, 28, Oldfather Street, Warsaw. Hileman made a left turn in front of the Richard vehicle, thinking there was a green turn arrow. Damage up to $2,500.
